The Proctor Pest-Stop multi-catch mouse trap is a humane trap, for the environmentally concerned buyer, which catches mice alive. It is designed so that the mice can be released unharmed and, in order to reduce stress to the caught mouse, it has plenty of ventilation holes to ensure that the animal has adequate oxygen. The trap has a one-way entry system, so that mice cannot escape when caught, and it can store up to four mice at any one time.
To ensure that the Proctor Pest-Stop multi-catch mouse trap has the optimum effect, it is best to place it alongside a wall--preferably in a dimly lit location--and put the bait inside, because mice tend to follow walls. Chocolate, raisins or peanut butter make effective baits. When a mouse runs into the trap to find the bait, the door closes behind it to prevent the rodent from escaping. When a mouse has been caught, it is easy to remove the animal without touching it. All that you need to do is carry the trap to an outdoor location and simply remove the detachable end compartment for easy and safe release of the mouse. The trap should be checked on a regular basis to minimise the risk of mice dying inside.
